Teacher Lucy´s Kiddos : WORKING WITH MIXTURES!

LAST WEEK YOU HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN SOME DIFFERENT PROJECTS. Here you have the results.

2) Juan made RECYCLED PAPER. Here´s his explanation about how to do it.

I'm going to explain you the process

First of all, I want you to know I did it with my dad. He remember how to do it because he did a lot of recycled paper when he was young.

I took some of Eva's paper, because she is an "artist", so she uses a lot of paper. Then, I cut the paper in small parts and I mixed the small paper with hot water.

After that, I mixed the mixture with a blender. It produces a liquid mass. At the beginning, it was very dark but then it turned clear. Then, I put the mass on a piece of cloth, and I extended it.

Later I sponged off the excess of water, covered with another piece of cloth and left it in the terrace. The next day ¡¡the recycled paper was made!!

I wrote on it: "Juan 6ºA #quédate en casa and My First Recycled Paper"

I loved this project. I learned that it is fun working in family and that from now onwards, I'm going to use more recycled paper. Thanks to you my family and I became more ecological conscious and now we recycle many things!

My dad was very excited about making recycled paper with me. We had lots of fun and it was great because while making the paper the paper, he told me some anecdotes from when he was young. So I learned haw to do recycled paper and how children had fun in the 80's-90's.

I made this craft using different types of crayons and l think it is a pretty good idea to have fun. I really enjoyed doing this because l love arts!!! l hope you like it!!!

Im going to say how I did it!

First you take some paper that you don't need, you break the paper and then you put it in water, then you take of the paper and you put in the thermomix(in my case I do it with the thermomix) then you shake for a few minutes and you take, then you put it in a tray and you shape it with the shape that you want then you let it dry for a few days and it's finished!

Hello, my name is Marcelo. I´m going to explain about my project "Homemade soap" . These are the steps:

1º Put 3 sheets on a tray.

2º Cover them with soap, gel and dishsoap. You can use a paintbrush to make it.

3º Dry the sheets with the sun. One day can be enough .

4º Measure to fit the box. Cut the sheets and put them in the box.

5º You can wash your hands now.

Advice: You need water soluable paper. My paper isn´t it because I don´t have it right now.

TRAVEL SOAP

THE NECESSARY THINGS ARE:
- BAKING PAPER
- NORMAL SOAP
- A BRUSH OR PAINTBRUSH
- CLOTHESPINS
- A PLATE

1. PUT THE BAKING PAPER ON THE PLATE AND ADD A LITTLE SOAP.
2. WITH THE BRUSH SPREAD THE SOAP UNTIL EVERYTHING IS WELL SOAKED.
3. WHITH THE TWEEZERS PUT IT TO DRY FOR A LONG TIME.
4. ONCE DRY WE CUT IT AND PUT IN A BOX.
5. AND I WOUL BE READY TO USE IT.

13) Estrella made recycled paper.

• The first thing I did was fill a basin with water.

• Then I took some old and used papers and cut them into pieces.

• then with the help of a blender crush the paper with the water

• once I got a kind of dough, I put it little by little on a tray with the help of my little brother.

• Then I put a rag over it and let it dry in the sun.

But .. Within 30 minutes of leaving it in the yard, it started to rain, and so every day. To this day I keep trying to dry it. So as soon as it is dry I will take it out of the tray and you are ready to draw, paint or write!

When I do that I will send you the photos!

FIRST : YOU NEED : ABSORBENT PAPER , A TRY , SOAP AND A SPATULA.
SECOND : DRAG SOAP ON THE ABSORBENT PAPER.
THIRD : DO THE SAME FOR THE 2 SIDES.
FOURTH : LET IT DRY.

FIFTH : WHEN IT`S DRY, CUT IN SQUARE AND STORE IT IN A BOX.

I LIKE THIS PROYECT, BECAUSE IS USEFUL AND I LIKE CRAFTS WITH POTINGUES ALTHOUGH I DIDN´T DO OTHERS BEACUSE I HAVEN¨T THE MATERIALS AND I CAN´T THE MATERIALS.
